The Committee on Services and Reconstruction of Parliament, the need to legislate the law to address [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] resolve a large part of the housing crisis.
The committee's representative, Piston Adel, said that the government, represented by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities, has a plan to establish low-cost housing complexes to be distributed to low-income people at affordable prices. This is part of the plan to address the housing crisis in the country.
He added: There is an urgent need for legislation to address the law of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] because it will regulate the form and arrangement of housing complexes built in different areas, whether in the capital Baghdad or the provinces, where the law will have a positive impact and will solve a large part of the housing crisis when he sees the light.
He explained: that the law will provide basic services such as electricity, water and sewage to the areas on which [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] were built and will arrange the organization and form of those slums, because these areas have become a reality, we must seriously think about how to solve them and this comes through the legislation of the law.
He noted that there are several proposals on addressing[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]which go towards the ownership of land to the occupants and the other demands the establishment of low-cost complexes and the transfer of the population of these areas to them under certain controls and instructions, and these proposals are right because there are areas built on the role systematically, these can be owned to the owners after providing basic services to them with an assessment of the area and value of land By the government, while the areas on which the houses are built are randomly constructed, low-cost housing complexes can be built to be distributed to the occupants of those informal settlements.
The spokesman for the Secretariat of Baghdad, Hakim Abdul Zahra has said: that the slums housing is a thorny and very difficult issue and needs government decisions and drastic solutions, and the secretariat of Baghdad alone can not address, noting that there are about 300 slums in the capital Baghdad, the number of families living in the area To the other, where the number of citizens living in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Nearly 300,000 citizens.
He added that the federal government has a new plan to address the housing crisis and slums announced by the Prime Minister, which is to distribute land plots to low-income people and employees, after allocating plots of land and providing infrastructure before distribution, noting that this plan can solve the housing crisis and slums in the capital.[/size]
