An informed parliamentary source confirmed that the parliamentary finance committee has agreed with the National Pension Authority to increase the minimum pension by paying the cost of living allowances, which will increase the percentage of the salary less.
"It has been agreed that the end-of-service bonus allowance will be paid to retirees," the source said.
The chairman of the Finance Committee, Mp Haitham, also stressed during his meeting with the head of the Retirement Authority, "the need to take care of the large and important segment of retirees and work to increase their salaries and amend the retirement law to meet their aspirations.
A statement from the Finance Committee received by the Finance Committee, announced the disbursement of severance pay allowances for retirees after the completion of special procedures with the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of conducting a transfer of 400 billion dinars in addition to the 70 billion dinars in the pension fund.
"The retirement law should be amended to serve 25 years instead of 30 years for the retiree to be paid the end-of-service bonus," the finance committee said.
