And Al-Zobaie said, “The plan includes four phases, and that the Ministry’s staff have succeeded in completing the first stage, which includes the rehabilitation of Salah El-Din 1 refinery and the return of production there to 40,000 barrels per day, and then the second stage that was aimed at reproducing the Salah El-Din 1 refinery to What it was, and that has already been achieved and is now producing 70 thousand barrels per day, in addition to starting the rehabilitation of the Salahuddin 2 refinery, which is expected to be fully completed during the third stage of rehabilitation by the end of the current year, to be again at the end of production with a refining of up to its capacity Initial design and wear It is 70 thousand barrels. ”
He stressed that "the fourth stage includes the rehabilitation of the North Refinery, as the damage assessment was started directly and it is expected to be completed in full and in accordance with the plan set by the year 2022 for the Al-Samoud Refineries (Baiji) to resume their work again, depending on the efforts of the Ministry of Technical and Finance."
The undersecretary continued that “Al-Samoud refineries (Baiji) now provide approximately one million and 300 thousand liters per day of gasoline, and it is expected to increase to 4 million liters per day at the end of the current year in conjunction with the introduction of the Salahuddin 2 refinery, and production is expected to increase to 9 Millions of liters per day by the year 2022 with the introduction of the North Refinery to work, in addition to large quantities of other oil derivatives.
And on the work at Karbala Refinery, Al-Zobaie revealed that "the work in the refinery is going according to the plans laid down and that the completion rate in it is now 80 percent and it is expected that it will enter work by the year 2022, which contributes to providing nearly 9 million liters of high-quality (gasoline) material, In addition to other high-quality derivatives, especially since the refinery is mainly designed according to very sophisticated and standard technologies, and the Ministry is moving in the right direction to provide oil derivatives to citizens with the accounts of population and urban expansion in the country.
