The Ministry of Interior announced the closure of about 900 websites affiliated with ISIS terrorist gangs propagating rumors, while calling for caution in obtaining and receiving information from its real sources.
"Most of the rumors are not spontaneous," Maj. Gen. Saad Maan, Director of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), noting that “there are malicious armies and organizations working clandestinely to exploit a certain situation in other directions.”
