The deputy of the Sadikoun Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad al-Baldawi, said on Wednesday that the Sunni and Kurdish blocs are expected to stand next to the Shiite ranks who refuse to assign Al-Zarfi to head the government, indicating that the blocs prefer the academic personality over the judge’s personality in the premiership.
Al-Baldawi said in a press statement, "The Shiite blocs are still rejected by Al-Zarfi and it is expected that the Sunni and Kurdish blocs will be next to the Shiite faction, given that the Shiite blocs stood by the Sunnis and the Kurds when they rejected Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi."
He added, "The political blocs went toward nominating a university professor as well as from within the judicial corps to choose a judge for the position of the next prime minister."
He explained, "There is a fear of going toward choosing a judge and favoring the academic personality over him, with the aim of being flexible in dealing with such a personality."
