, the head of the victory coalition, Haider al-Abadi, revealed the reasons for preventing the candidacy of the prime minister for the upcoming elections, calling for the necessity of investing oil revenues in investment projects.
Al-Abadi said in a televised interview, "The poor decision-making by political leaders in certain periods gave an opportunity for Baghdad to be an arena for regional and international conflicts."
He added, "The external pressure at the present time is much less than the previous one, especially in the matter of forming the government, due to the world's preoccupation with the Corona epidemic," as it is a "golden opportunity for the political blocs to form the government without external interference."
Al-Abadi attributed the reason for the fact that the blocs agreed not to nominate the prime minister for the upcoming elections.
He pointed out that "Al-Kazemi confirmed that he will be the head of a transitional government, and he does not intend to form a specific party or political line."
