On Monday (March 8, 2021), Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi called for a dialogue on a final agreement between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government .

Al-Kazemi said in a speech, "The Pope's visit was a bright spot that embodied the essence of our people, and the message of His Holiness reached all parts of the world," pointing out that "the Iraqi people bid farewell to His Holiness, the Pope with grace and appreciation ."

And he added, "We have suffered a lot of wars and blood has shed on our land until it became irritated, and death spread throughout the decades its black shades in our homes," adding, "We have nothing but great human meanings in our souls ."

And the Prime Minister stated, "We have lived together for more than six thousand years and are still together, and we hold in the hand of some of us the diversity of our religions, sects and nationalities, as the hands of Sistani and the Pope held together ."

He pointed out that "Iraq is a message of humanity and peace, and Iraq today has a real opportunity to restore its historical role in the region and the world, despite all obstacles and challenges ."

"The government adheres to the will of our people to achieve security, peace, reconstruction and prosperity, " he stressed .

He continued, saying, "Today, we are calling for a national dialogue to be a gateway to fulfilling the aspirations of our people," calling "all the disagreeable political forces, popular and youth protesting events, and government opponents to the responsible dialogue table ."

He also called for "political forces and parties to give priority to the interests of the homeland and to move away from the language of convulsive rhetoric and prepare for early elections ."

Al-Kazemi addressed the youth, saying, "I realize the extent of your suffering, your ambitions, and the injustice that befell you ."

He pointed out that "the government needs enough time to protect Iraq," noting that "straining the situation is not in the interest of the country ."

Al-Kazemi said, "The government must be given sufficient time to build and secure the elections on solid and fair foundations," calling on "the opponents to open and frank dialogue with the government on the basis of the country's interest, security and sovereignty ."

He added that "the strategic dialogue on arrangements for cooperation with the international coalition is based mainly on creating the environment and timings for the removal of all combat forces from the land of Iraq within agreed technical and time-based mechanisms ."

The Prime Minister called for "a real national dialogue to reach a final agreement on the relationship between the central government and the Kurdistan region in a way that preserves the territorial integrity and radically addresses the problems," adding that "the government, since its formation, has embarked on restoring Iraq's relations and founding to restore its normal position and regional weight, and we have made advanced steps ."

He went on to say, "We have succeeded in making Iraq a conduit for understanding and communication between many countries in the region," indicating that "there is an international willingness to support Iraq in the economic reform project ."

Al-Kazemi continued, "We succeeded in crossing the economic crisis," calling on "Iraq's brothers, neighbors and friends to consolidate the values of peace and cooperation and to banish the specter of wars and conflicts ."

And he added, "Iraq confirms its full readiness to play an effective role in consecrating the calm and opening the doors for dialogue to resolve crises," adding that "Iraq insisted on its refusal to be an arena for external conflicts ."

He believed that "the logic of cooperation and brotherhood is the only acceptable one for our people and for Iraq."
