A member of the legal committee, Saeb Khadr, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the House of Representatives faces two options regarding ending the debate over the Federal Court law.

"The first option is to go ahead with the new court law and vote on contentious articles therein (2, 3, 12), or to amend Law No. 30 of 2005," Khadr said during his speech to Alsumaria News.

He added, "The last parliament session did not witness a vote on the entire paragraphs of the Federal Court Law."

He explained, "Yesterday's session witnessed the amendment of several paragraphs, including the third paragraph and the paragraphs related to the number of members and the legal age for retirement of members of the court."

Regarding the insistence of some members of Parliament on the existence of a clause of Sharia jurists and legal experts, he indicated that “Article 92 of the Constitution stipulated the presence of Sharia experts within the court, but did not specify their role or number,” indicating that “some parliamentarians wanted their role to be advisory, while some went The other is towards their role in the veto. "
