    {Economy: Al Furat News} Economic expert, Safwan Qusay, called on the House of Representatives to invest the opportunity of rising oil and pass the federal budget bill for 2021.

    Qusay said {for the Euphrates News} that "the House of Representatives is supposed to take advantage of the high price of selling oil and pass the federal budget law for 2021."
    He explained that "the absence of the oil and gas law has cast a shadow over the approval of the budget, but there is another alternative that is through the Kurdistan region handing over its oil to the SOMO company and creating a branch for it in Arbil, and it will be a mediator between the region’s production and the delivery of revenues."
    Qusay added, "If this neutrality is implied, it is possible for the center to commit to the region to pay its dues, and in practice the existence of financial abundance means the possibility of introducing financial settlements not only for the region, but for the petrodollar provinces and the other."
    And on the ability of the House of Representatives to intervene to amend the currency exchange rate, Qusay explained, "Parliament is able to add a paragraph on the level of the fixed exchange rate. If we see an improvement in oil prices, the government can authorize the central bank to sell the currency supported by the purchase of some commodities and others."
    The House of Representatives has set tomorrow, Friday, the date for voting on the draft federal budget law for 2021.
    The Information Department of the Council stated in a statement, that "the voting session on the federal budget will be tomorrow Friday at one o'clock in the afternoon."
