The General Company for Fairs and Iraqi Commercial Services discussed, on Wednesday, with a Bulgarian delegation, the strengthening of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
A company statement said, "The General Director of the General Company for Fairs and Iraqi Commercial Services in the Ministry of Trade, Sarmad Taha Saeed, met with the Bulgarian embassy in Iraq to discuss economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries."
The statement added, "The two sides discussed opening common horizons between the two countries in various levels and enhancing trade exchange between the two countries through exporting local goods and services to Bulgaria or importing Bulgarian goods to Iraq."
He continued: "The general manager of the company provided a full explanation of the company's work, its specialization and the services it provides to the participants in the session of the Baghdad International Fair in terms of technical and logistical issues, since this session is considered an economic demonstration at the local and international levels."
The director of the company said, "Bulgaria is keen to participate extensively in the security and defense exhibition to be held on the tenth of this month on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair and to find common ground to define what it offers in terms of economic and military products, capabilities and capabilities."
The general manager of the company expressed his company's readiness to "provide all facilities for the entry of participants and exhibits and to stay in the most prestigious hotels in Baghdad and to provide them with the necessary security protection."
For its part, the Bulgarian delegation expressed its "profound gratitude for the warm welcome", expressing confidence "in Iraq's ability to advance its economic situation despite the challenges it faces."
