    "Mr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Hakim was a permanent presence in the Governing Council and the National Assembly in addition to the House of Representatives in its first parliamentary session," Abdul-Latif told Al-Furat News. 
    He stressed that "Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim, when the National Coalition took over, the coalition was consistent." 
    He added that "his dominance, control, and respect for the National Coalition for him were an addition to him in the political process," noting that "the entity was torn apart after his departure."
    He pointed out that "the house of Mr. Al-Hakim is a family that sacrificed a lot for the sake of the country and deserves respect and appreciation."
    Today, the 5th of Ramadan, coincides with the anniversary of the death of the dear Iraq, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim, in 2009 after a long struggle with illness at the age of 59 years.
    Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Hakim was born in 1950 in the holy city of Najaf, the bastion of knowledge and jihad, and the resting place of the master of the custodians, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, from a family rooted in knowledge and piety, the family of jurisprudence and martyrdom, where 63 people were martyred, and more than two hundred men and women were imprisoned and arrested. At the time of the defunct regime, he was the youngest of the sons of the Shiite community’s authority, the late Imam Sayyid Mohsen al-Hakim (Qudah) the ten, and he was the only one who remained after his brothers were all martyred, and the last of them was the martyr of the mihrab, Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim (Jerusalem).
