The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Thursday, the issuance of a new ruling in the health insurance case of the Ministry of Education, stressing that one of the most prominent convicts was the former Deputy Minister of Education.
And while talking about the details of the case that it investigated and referred it to the judiciary, according to a statement Mawazine News received a copy of, the Commission’s Investigation Department stated that “the follow-up to the issue of the health insurance contract of the Ministry of Education after several judicial rulings were issued against the former minister and the Director of Contracts in The ministry and the authorized director of the contracting company led to new data that enabled the judiciary to convict other defendants.
The department added, "The Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court issued its ruling against the Under-Secretary of the Minister of Education, the Director of the Internal Control Department and the (former) Secretary of the Minister, after reviewing the evidence obtained in this case represented by the Commission's investigations and the observations of the External Audit Department in it, and decided to sentence them to imprisonment for one year with Suspension of execution in accordance with the provisions of the judgment article.
It is noteworthy that the commission’s investigations into the violations committed in the health insurance contract of the Ministry of Education and the suspicions of compulsory deduction from the employees’ salaries led to the referral of the case to the judiciary, which issued last December a decision condemning the former Minister of Education, as a result of the violations committed in a contract the ministry concluded with an insurance company. healthy.
