    Mubasher: The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Abdul Amir Kamel Al-Shammari, headed an Iraqi delegation that included the Director General of the General Authority of Customs, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Border Guard Forces Command, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, the Director General of Land Transport, and the Director General of Travel and Nationality; To participate in an economic security meeting held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .

    The delegation discussed; According to a statement issued by the Border Ports Authority today, Thursday, a number of common issues were raised; The most important of which is the security situation on the borders between the two countries and securing the road from the Arar border crossing to the governorates of Iraq .
    The Border Ports Authority explained that the obstacles facing the process of trade exchange were discussed and a new work mechanism was agreed upon. Its main objective is to encourage trade and work to overcome all obstacles between the two countries . 
    The head of the Iraqi Border Ports Authority, Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, gave his full support to the success of the commercial work at the Arar border port, and the establishment of the Jumaima port in the Muthanna governorate with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the encouragement of cross-country trade exchange (transit ).
    Al-Waeli also supported the establishment of lines of communication between the Border Ports Authority and Saudi Arabia through accredited coordinators between the two outlets, indicating that the authority is working through this to achieve important revenues that supply the state treasury, as well as providing job opportunities to employ manpower .
