[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The economic expert, Malath Al-Amin, called on the ministries of state to support the products of national laboratories by purchasing their needs instead of importing them from abroad, noting that the Council of Ministers has directed the need to prefer the local product over the imported one to meet the needs of government departments and institutions.
In a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ), Al-Amin said, "The Ministry of Defense stopped buying the products of the cotton and woolen garment factories affiliated to the Ministry of Industry, which led to the suspension of production lines and the accumulation of these materials despite their competition with the importer in terms of type and price."
He added, "The Ministry of Industry damaged its factories after 2003 because of the looting and burning of machines and mechanisms first, and because the borders were opened to imported products, especially the poor ones, which competed in their prices with the national products... which led to the closure of most of the factories," noting that "with the financial crisis, the workers of these factories became A burden on the state budget because their factories do not produce and the state has to provide them with salaries, which necessitated the re-modernization of the factories and directing state departments and institutions to purchase their needs of national products to support them and make the factories productive and not losing.
Al-Amin added, "A number of ministries responded to this trend and began to work with it, which led to the transformation of a number of industrial companies from losing to profitable, which provided the necessary funds to restore life in other factories," calling on him.
The economic expert pointed out that "the purchase of national products accelerates the economic development of the country and prevents the exit of the national currency abroad, which supports the national economy and contributes to the modernization and development of the stalled factories and the increase in production." / End 8[/rtl]
