The Chief of the Kurdistan Regional Office, Fawzi Hariri, received in his office in Erbil, Ziad Khalaf Abed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank, in the context of strengthening partnerships and cooperation with financial institutions in the region.
During the meeting, Khalaf reviewed the most important achievements and developments at the level of the bank and the huge infrastructure of the bank, including its application of the controls and standards of the information technology system, which at the same time led to the bank obtaining the highest standards of classification and evaluation at the level of Iraqi banks despite all the challenges that the banking sector is going through. On the other hand, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank stressed to Hariri the bank’s keenness to cooperate with all the regional banks in the field of infrastructure development, activating advanced electronic payment systems and providing the best banking services in accordance with the digital financial technology that the bank has reached and with approved international standards and providing investment opportunities according to a future vision. And strategic directions to support all vital sectors and what the next stage requires.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Court, Fawzi Hariri, valued the active role played by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank in managing and developing the institution to reach the ranks of banks in the regional and international countries, and thanked him for the spirit of constructive cooperation for work.
