The Chairman of the Ministerial Energy Committee, Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, confirmed today, Wednesday, Iraq's keenness to move forward towards activating investment projects in the clean and renewable energy sector in cooperation with sober international companies, including American and Western companies.
A statement by the Ministry of Oil, received by Mawazine News, said, "The minister received the Iraqi ambassador in Washington, Farid Mustafa Kamel Yassin, and stressed that Iraq is committed to international agreements on the environment, climate and clean energy, by intensifying its efforts to conclude and conclude investment agreements and contracts, and important steps have been achieved. In this context, including the conclusion of contracts for the investment of associated gas and its conversion into useful energy in a number of governorates, as well as the conclusion of important contracts for the investment of renewable energy.
He stressed the importance of banks, banks and international financial institutions' support for Iraq's program for the transition to clean energy, which enhances the role of the government's effort in developing and expanding these projects. Ended 29/A87
