Away from the Sadrists and the law, a movement to form a large bloc of "independents"
Shafaq News/ The independent candidate who won the elections, Basem Khashan, revealed today, Sunday, a movement taking place among the "winning independents" in the October elections for the purpose of forming a large parliamentary bloc that includes "independent deputies" only.
Khashan told Shafaq News Agency, "There are movements and consultations to form a bloc of independents and movements associated with Tishreen to be an opposition bloc or to form the next government," noting that "the consultations have actually begun, and the number of deputies for this bloc will exceed 40."
And he indicated, that "the large bloc that includes independent representatives, will be far from the Sadrist bloc or the rule of law bloc and the rest of the traditional political forces," noting that "this bloc will be able, through that number, to question any minister, in addition to activating the supervisory and legislative work, away from any political pressures and deals."
