, Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm chaired, on Tuesday, a meeting of the special committee to address the problems of lagging and stalled hospital projects.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Health, Hani Al-Aqabi, the minister confirmed, "The committee, through great and painstaking work, was able to address most of the problems that were impeding the implementation of stalled and lagging hospital projects," noting that "these hospitals have different clinical capacities, some of them have a capacity of 400 beds and others have 200 beds." and 100 beds.
He pointed out, "The largest percentage of hospitals are ready to resume work in them, in addition to completing some of them and entering the stage of receiving and operating, and it is expected that next year 2022 will witness the entry of a number of hospitals into service, which will improve the level of health and medical services provided to citizens, especially with the presence of Advanced centers for the treatment of oncological diseases are attached to these hospitals.
The minister appreciated the work of the committee members during the last period, who bore a lot of burdens and challenges, but the committee succeeded in the end, in dealing with one of the most important service files in Iraq.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Farhad Al-Atrushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning Azhar Hussein Saleh, and a number of general managers in the ministries of Planning, Health, Finance and the Office of Financial Supervision.
