A border crossing with Iraq announces a significant increase in the volume of trade exchange
Shafaq News/ The Director General of Highways and Land Transport in Kermanshah Province in Iran said that the amount of transit and transport of goods at the official borders of Pervez Khan International in the city of Qasr Shirin, opposite Iraq, exceeded one million tons.
"According to official statistics, during a period of nine months, the amount of transit and transport of goods since the beginning of the year reached 1,460,459 tons," Fariborz Karmi said.
He added that the volume of loading from the borders into Iran amounted to 549,661 tons of goods, and transit goods reached 82,690 tons.
Karmi did not indicate the source of the transit.
Karami said that since the beginning of the current Iranian year, which begins in March, 37,783 Iranian trucks and 38,837 foreign trucks have passed through the borders of Pervez Khan.
On a parallel front, the Director General of Kermanshah Customs announced a 9% growth in merchandise exports from the Kurdish city's customs.
"During the past nine months, 4,789,483 tons of goods were exported from the borders of Kermanshah province, in addition to a growth of 9% in terms of value of goods, and an increase of 2% in terms of weight," Bakhtiar Rahmanipur said.
