{Economic: Al Furat News} The economic expert, Hamza Al-Jawahiri, explained, on Wednesday, the impact of the world's entry into the new epidemic wave on the global closure.
The useful summary.. In important news, you can find it on Al-Furat News Channel on Telegram.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Al-Jawahiri told Al-Furat News that: "Despite the arrival of a new epidemic wave in the world, a global closure cannot be expected, as happened in 2019."
He added, "Perhaps the closure will be partial, according to the response of the crisis cells in those countries."
Al-Jawahiri added, "The large countries that released their oil reserves, such as America and China, will not allow prices to reach more than $90 per barrel."
He expected, "The rise will be above $85 as a maximum, and the essential oil need will remain."
Economists warn that the potential consequences are more serious this time, due to the nature of the highly contagious omicron mutant, which has already been discovered in some Chinese regions.
And the newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" says that the possibility of continued unrest in the second largest economy in the world increases fears that it will be reflected in the global economy, especially since China has a zero-tolerance strategy to combat the epidemic known as "zero Covid."
"The danger of the Omicron variable is that we could take a huge step backwards in terms of supply chain bottlenecks," said Frederic Neumann, associate head of Asian economics research at HSBC.
This time, he added, the situation may be more difficult than last year given China's increasingly important role in global supplies.
