Kurdistan Region: Baghdad has again caused delays in the distribution of employee salaries
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government announced, on Wednesday, that the Federal Ministry of Finance has once again delayed sending the amount of (200) billion dinars, which was used as a supplementary advance to distribute the salaries of the region's employees.
A ministry statement received by Shafaq News stated that, according to the Iraqi budget law for the year 2021, the federal finance was supposed to send a larger amount to the region, but for the month of January until today, Wednesday, February 16, it did not send that amount, so there was a slowdown in the distribution employee salaries.
The statement indicated that in order not to delay the distribution of salaries for employees of the ministries (municipalities, tourism, higher education, scientific research, electricity, the presidency of the Council of Ministers, the presidency of the parliament, the presidency of the Kurdistan Region, and military and civilian retirees) for a longer period, it was decided that the distribution of salaries for the first month of February's revenues will continue.
