Hawrami: With the distribution of salaries in Iraq, the 618 billion will reach the Kurdistan Region

Shafaq News/ Samir Hawrami, spokesman for Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, stated on Thursday that with the distribution of salaries in Iraq, the 618 billion dinars will be sent to the region for the purpose of financing the salaries of employees and workers in the private sector in Kurdistan.
Hawrami said in a statement to reporters today that the Iraqi Financial Oversight Committee came to the Kurdistan Region and checked the names of the payrolls and there are no problems as is being talked about.
He went on to say that the amount of 618 billion dinars that Baghdad is sending to the Kurdistan Region is not yet known for which month’s salary it will be because the regional government has not taken any decision regarding it, and it is likely that it will be discussed in the next session of the Council of Ministers.
This comes at a time when the spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that the amount of 618 billion dinars sent by Baghdad will be to finance the salaries of this January.
The federal government was scheduled to send today an amount of 618 billion dinars to finance the salaries of employees and workers in the public sector in the region, but due to administrative procedures, the transfer of the amount was postponed until next week.
