Earth News/ The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, directed today, Wednesday, to follow up on special requests for people with disabilities, including the provision of marching loans.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated, in a statement received by Earth News Agency, received by Earth News Agency, that "Al-Ghazi received a delegation of the Disabled People's Association in Iraq, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and harness government capabilities in various fields to care for the disabled segment in Iraq."
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stressed the importance of giving this segment more spaces to integrate into society and work on their active participation in various fields, especially in the public and private sectors, considering that “disability challenges are a major incentive for development and creativity, according to many success stories produced by this segment.” .
He directed the Secretary-General, “to take over the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, follow-up requests for people with disabilities, and open windows for communication between the authority and the Ministry of Health to increase health care, as well as coordination with banks; To provide soft loans that help the disabled in opening projects that support the direction of integrating them into society without discrimination. Coordination is also done with the Iraqi Media Network; To highlight the support of this broad segment.”
For its part, the organization’s delegation reviewed the group’s achievements, “besides the obstacles and challenges related to the work of the National Authority for the Handicapped, and the implementation of the provisions of their law.”
The delegation praised "the great interest and support provided by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers by communicating the gathering requests to the concerned authorities."
