The Iraqi government takes an important decision to confront the high prices
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Council of Ministers decided today, Tuesday, to suspend import licenses until the eighth of next June.
The Iraqi Border Ports Authority said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency, that based on a proposal submitted by the Border Ports Authority and in the presence of the Authority's Chairman Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, the Council of Ministers voted to suspend import licenses until the eighth of next June for the goods mentioned in Cabinet Resolution 80 for the year 2022.
She pointed out that these measures come out of the government's interest in citizens and to prevent the rise in prices of essential goods and commodities.
He explained that the decision also included the formation of an important committee from the relevant departments and the membership of the head of the Border Ports Authority to monitor and study the reality of the situation in order to provide solutions to any newcomer that affects the progress of the trade exchange process in a way that meets the needs of citizens, serves importers and facilitates their procedures.
