Central Iraqi sales fall below $150 million
Shafaq News/ The Central Bank's dollar sales decreased, on Tuesday, to less than $150 million.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, 146 million and 702 thousand dollars, while the sale for yesterday, Monday, amounted to 180 million and 893 thousand US dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that most of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 115 million and 302 thousand dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 31 million and 400 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 18 banks have met requests to consolidate balances abroad, and 17 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 146 mediation companies.
Last week witnessed a decrease in his dollar sales, bringing the selling prices on Monday to 80 million, before rising with the beginning of this week.
