Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of US dollar currency decreased today, Thursday, to less than 120 million dollars.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, 117 million and 140 thousand dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, after these sales reached more than 250 million dollars during the past months. .
Our correspondent added that most of these sales went to consolidate the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 82 million and 840 thousand dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales amounting to 34 million and 300 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 15 banks have met requests to consolidate balances abroad, and 13 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 111 mediation companies.
