Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq receives the Italian ambassador

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif, received today, Wednesday, His Excellency the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Maurizio Cricanti.
During the meeting, they reviewed economic and banking relations, and strengthened them to serve the interest of the two countries, as well as solving problems that hinder this relationship and its progress.
His Excellency the Ambassador extended an invitation to His Excellency the Governor to visit the Central Bank of Italy, and His Excellency promised to receive it in the coming days.
On the other hand, His Excellency stressed that the Central Bank of Iraq has pursued during the past years a policy of external openness to its counterparts in the countries of the world with the aim of strengthening the relations of the Iraqi banking sector abroad, indicating that the opening of branches of Iraqi banks abroad is a step forward, and evidence of the successes achieved by the banking sector in Iraq and the confidence it gained internationally.The Central Bank of Iraq,
