His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghaleb Mukhaif, received today, Tuesday, His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Dr. Jassim Al-Falahi. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Central Bank of Iraq and the Ministry of Environment, and the tireless efforts made by the Central Bank's administration in heading towards a green economy. During the meeting, His Excellency praised the efforts of the Ministry of Environment in shedding light on the dangers of climate change and its effects in order to change the behavior of individuals and institutions with regard to addressing the phenomenon of desertification and water shortage, and dealing with it, and the adoption of renewable energy instead of traditional means. For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Environment commended the efforts of the Central Bank of Iraq in supporting the interests of the state and the Ministry of Environment in the issues of addressing desertification and the adoption of electricity generation units from renewable energy and the subsequent steps of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Ministry of Environment, and the rest of the state institutions in addressing this phenomenon that casts a shadow on the The future of Earth and humanity.
