, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sharif Suleiman, confirmed, on Monday, that no agreement had been reached with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan regarding the ministries of Environment, Construction and Housing.
Suleiman said, "No solution or agreement has been reached between the Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan regarding the Ministries of Environment, Construction and Housing," noting that "the dispute is still ongoing."
He expressed his hope to "reach a solution in the near future," stressing that "the Democratic Party believes in constructive dialogue based on rights and entitlements according to the electoral merit."
He added, "When the elections are held, each party will have its right to a percentage of points and degrees of government or entitlements according to the seats the party acquires in the House of Representatives," pointing out that "the National Union believes that it deserves two ministerial seats out of four, and we believe that we have the right to 3 Ministerial seats reserved for the House and the Kurdish component.
It is noteworthy that, on October 13, the House of Representatives voted on 22 ministries for the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, while the vote on the ministries of construction and environment was postponed. Ended 29 / h
