Barzani considers the March 11 agreement one of the valuable achievements of the Kurdistan liberation movement

Shafaq News/ On Saturday, the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani considered the March agreement one of the most important achievements of the Kurdistan liberation movement, reaffirming at the same time that the people of Kurdistan will not give up their rights under any circumstances.
In a statement marking the 53rd anniversary of the agreement, Barzani said, "The March 11 agreement is one of the valuable achievements of the Kurdistan liberation movement," adding that this agreement is the product of "the struggle and revolution of the people of Kurdistan and the Democratic Party led by Barzani al-Khalid, as the Iraqi regime was forced at the time to recognize a part One of the rights of our people on March 11, 1970, these rights that were denied and robbed since the beginning of the establishment of the Iraqi state.
And he added, "The March 11 agreement was the fruit of the struggle and sacrifices of the Peshmerga, the masses, and all religious groups and components and nationalities in Kurdistan, and it moved the definition of the existence of the Kurdish people in the Iraqi state to higher stages and contributed to strengthening self-confidence within the same Kurdish individual."
The Kurdish leader noted that "although the Iraqi regime ignored the rights of the Kurdish people and violated the March 11 agreement, this achievement was the gateway to a greater stage and step in the struggle of our people and the achievement of more achievements and victories."
Barzani concluded his statement by saying: On the 53rd anniversary of the March 11 agreement, and with an emphasis on the message of peace and the coexistence of the people of Kurdistan, we remind everyone that the people of Kurdistan will not back down from their rights, freedom and achievements under any circumstances or pressure.
