    Economy News-Baghdad
Expert: The volume of investments in the private sector is insufficient.. The government has the solution. Economic expert Hamid Al-Aqabi confirmed, on Sunday, that activating the private sector and allowing it to lead the economic reality in Iraq is sufficient to achieve visible administrative and economic reforms.
Al-Aqabi told "Al-Iqtisad News" that "economic and administrative reform in light of the conditions that Iraq has gone through since 2003 to this day is a necessity that must be followed by relying on the private sector and not through ready-made recipes presented to it. As for the studies and research that were presented by economic and academic organizations To reach the goal by all possible means that will lead in the short and long term to change the policy of the economic system in the process of economic and administrative reform so that the private sector is the pioneer in economic and social development and in its capacity as an incubator for unemployment.
He added, "With these short-term transformations, the government needs to review laws and legislation that regulate economic policy and what is required of legal, constitutional and legislative measures to achieve economic development. The volume of investments is still limited to creating sufficient job opportunities for unemployed youth, and the reasons are known."
Hamid continued, "The new circumstances made the state actually think about increasing non-rentier revenues in the Iraqi economy through a productive environment capable of producing new, developed and distinguished industries, based on the privatization of idle, lagging and losing companies in the public sector."
And he believed that "the ideal solution for the advancement of the Iraqi economy requires finding the ways to be followed to protect the local product from flooding the local markets with foreigners, encourage it, get rid of consumption and slow down the will of production, encourage a culture of savings and legislate laws that lead to citizen conviction for public and private sector banks, and address the infrastructure of the Iraqi economy and develop relations International and local safe haven for investment in Iraq.
He pointed to "respecting the spirit of teamwork, promoting the spirit of individual initiative, respecting time at work, renouncing dependency and managing good governance in shouldering responsibility to confront financial and administrative corruption that gnawed at the people's money and the state's neglect of the private sector and unilateralism in economic policy, which is an alternative to creating cooperation between the public and private sectors in implementation steps." Correction and oversight of economic reform programs is due to the fact that the real private sector, not the imaginary one, holds information technology reserves, the skills and experiences of its personnel, and the ability of its institutions to manage its assets.
And he stressed that "the private sector requires it to start from the marginal role to the leading role after it has moved away from keeping pace with technological developments to achieve development in the course of the Iraqi economy after the failure of successive policies since 2003 in development due to the lack of clarity of the vision for the Iraqi economy, and the state remains last but not least." A sponsor of the private sector, a guide and a guarantor of the sustainability of welfare and employment in the production process and an increase in the per capita income of the Iraqi citizen.
