Earth News / Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi stressed today, Thursday, the transformation of the strategy into practical steps to implement it.
In a statement received by Earth News, Al-Asadi's office stated, "The latter chaired a meeting of the commission, in the presence of its members, representatives from other relevant ministries, to discuss the national strategy for early childhood development in Iraq 2022-2031, on Thursday, 4-6-2023."
Al-Asadi said, according to the statement, that "Iraq has gone through wars, challenges and many circumstances that have affected vulnerable groups in society, including children, stressing taking responsibility and moving to collect the situation and moving the strategy from theoretical to practical by drawing steps to implement it."
He explained that “the strategy dealt with many challenges facing childhood, including population challenges such as slums, displacement and disadvantage, as well as economic challenges that leave a clear impact on the reality of the child, as well as the social challenge, which is indicated by the strategy, pointing out that the Child Welfare Authority must work to implement and implement the strategy and move forward Practical steps to advance the reality of childhood.
During the meeting, the most prominent paragraphs of the strategy were reviewed, which included programs, activities and specific goals for implementation to support and develop early childhood, in partnership with the ministries that are members of the authority.
