Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani received members of the Parliamentary Investment and Development Committee.
During the meeting, the most important laws and legislations that contribute to supporting the investment process in the country were discussed, as well as the most important practical solutions to problems that hinder the completion of investment projects, with the aim of reaching services that meet the aspirations of citizens.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed his support for everything that pushes the investment process, considering it the broadest and best way to support the Iraqi economy and provide real job opportunities.
He pointed out that the imbalance was diagnosed as being the responsibility of the administration and not in the construction process itself, and that pioneering investment projects, such as the large port of Faw and the railway line with Turkey, would change the economic map of the region.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of the process of evaluating the heads of investment commissions in Baghdad and the provinces, according to a scientific form prepared for this purpose, in addition to discussing the amendment of Resolution No. 245 due to the presence of paragraphs in it that impede the work of investors.
They discussed the process of rehabilitating and expanding Baghdad International Airport, in addition to the possibility of holding an expanded investment conference, in order to provide all facilities to the local or foreign investor, in implementation of what was included in the government curriculum, which adopted improving the investment environment and presented it among its top priorities.
