And the Ministry of Health stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "The Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Iraq, Joi Sung Soo, representative of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), regarding the project to establish a children's heart disease hospital in Dhi Qar Governorate, at the ministry's headquarters."
The Minister of Health indicated that "the signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of cooperation relations between Iraq and Korea, for the sake of joint work between the two countries," stressing "the ministry's determination to implement the priorities of the government program for the health sector."
The statement added, "The memorandum of understanding includes strengthening cooperation in the field of health projects, including the establishment of a children's heart disease hospital project in Dhi Qar Governorate, with a capacity of (63) beds, as a grant from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the period (2023-2028) and various health fields, according to interests." and laws in force between the two friendly countries.
