    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani called, on Tuesday, for the need to take into account the green spaces in building units and residential complexes and not to turn the region into a cement city.
    This came during his participation in a special panel discussion on the sidelines of the opening of the Building and Construction Exhibition in Erbil.



    In the panel discussion, Masrour Barzani said that with regard to construction and construction, several points must be taken into account, first of which is the citizens' need, and secondly, the prices of the housing units that are built for them so that they can buy, as some people do not have purchasing power at an exorbitant cost.
    He added that we seek to build 21,000 housing units in the region for low-income people as well as families of martyrs
    In terms of construction, the head of the regional government stressed that it is necessary to take into account the aspects of cities, taking into account the quality of construction, and it is not permissible to adopt low prices at the expense of quality, and to maintain that they are safe from earthquakes and other unwanted incidents in order to gain the confidence of citizens.
    He stressed that green spaces should be taken into account, so that Kurdistan should not be a cement city.
    Regarding the construction sector, Masrour Barzani said that, first of all, we must have a population census, and this determines the need for housing units, stressing the need to activate the tourism sector in the region.
    He also stressed the need to build many complexes to attract tourists from abroad, saying: This will help the recovery of the economy in the Kurdistan Region.
    And the head of the regional government went on to say that we can benefit from the experiences of the Gulf countries and Turkey in the field of construction and reconstruction.
