The volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Iraq through the new Arar land port in the northern border region during the first half of 2023 amounted to about 913 million Saudi riyals.
According to a study conducted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the northern border region of the commercial movement between the Kingdom and Iraq, it indicated that in the first quarter of the current year 2023, the trade movement grew during the month of March to about 381 million riyals after it was about 305 million riyals in January.
The Kingdom's exports to Iraq amounted to about 372.4 million riyals in March, after it was about 294 million riyals in January, while the Kingdom's imports from Iraq fell from 11.5 million riyals in January to about 8.6 million riyals in March.
The commodities that the Kingdom exported to Iraq are: (aluminum and its products, electrical appliances and equipment and their parts, and preparations based on grain or flour, milk, eggs, animal products for food, and mineral products), while commodities were imported from Iraq, namely: (aluminum and its products, gum and vegetable juices, sugar and its sugar products, copper and its products ).
