Meanwhile, two delegates told Reuters that the Arab foreign ministers who held a meeting on Thursday to prepare for the summit were divided, as some countries, led by Algeria, called for severing all diplomatic relations with Israel.
The two delegates added that a group of Arab countries, which established diplomatic relations with Israel, opposed this, stressing the need to keep channels open with the Israeli government.
According to reports from another newspaper, “half of the foreign ministers of the member states of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/137116/%D9%85%D9%86%D8%B8%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%8A/ar/]Organization of Islamic Cooperation[/url] called for merging the two summits, and [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47950/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%85%D9%84%D9%83%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D8%B9%D9%88%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Saudi Arabia[/url] agreed to that. The

* Threatening to use oil and Arab economic capabilities to pressure to stop what was described as aggression.
*Preventing Israeli civil aviation from flying in Arab airspace.
This matter is considered contradictory to the request of the Palestinian leadership, which insisted that the emergency Arab summit be separate from the OIC summit, so that there would be greater interest in the Israeli aggression on the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47088/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9 %D8%BA%D8%B2%D8%A9/ar/]Gaza Strip[/url], and so that the summit could come up with important recommendations.
In its final statement on Saturday evening, the emergency Arab-Islamic summit called for an end to the war in Gaza and refused to justify Israeli actions against the Palestinians as self-defense.
The summit condemned "the Israeli aggression against the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47088/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9 %D8%BA%D8%B2%D8%A9/ar/]Gaza Strip[/url], the war crimes, and the barbaric, brutal and inhumane massacres committed by the colonial occupation government."
The statement also called for breaking the siege on Gaza, allowing Arab, Islamic and international humanitarian aid convoys to enter the Strip, and stopping arms and ammunition exports to Israel.
For 37 days, the Israeli army has been waging an air, land and sea war on Gaza, “during which it destroyed residential neighborhoods on top of their residents,” killing 11,078 Palestinian martyrs, including 4,506 children, 3,027 women, and 678 elderly people, and wounding 27,490 with various injuries, according to official sources, as of Friday evening.
