    South Africa announced that the leaders of the BRICS countries will hold an extraordinary video meeting on November 21 on the situation in the Middle East, especially in the Gaza Strip.
    The press office of the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, who chairs the group, said: “The leaders of the BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China - will meet, under the chairmanship of South Africa, to hold an extraordinary meeting via the Internet. The leaders of the (new) BRICS countries have also been invited.” Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the Emirates.
    After Ramaphosa's opening remarks, representatives of "BRICS members and invited countries will make statements on behalf of their countries in relation to the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza."
    The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, will participate in the meeting. It is planned that the meeting participants will adopt a joint statement.
    The Kremlin confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the extraordinary meeting.
