    An informed security source revealed, on Monday, the existence of a network of senior military ranks working to send reports and justifications for the American combat forces remaining inside the country, while confirming that these leaders are subject to pressure exerted by Washington within the country’s military and security establishment. 
    The source, who refused to reveal his identity, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “There is a group of senior military ranks with dual nationalities working to change the facts and send reports that support Iraq’s need for the presence of American combat forces inside the country,” pointing out that “these people are walking.” “As Washington dictates to them for fear of being removed from their positions or affecting their own interests.” 
    He continued, "The United States of America is working to send gifts, bribes, and free donations under specific names and grant them trips to European countries," adding that "the National Security Council controls most of its joints and the decisions that are issued by America." 
    He added, "These leaders have an essential role in keeping the American combat forces inside the military bases, as a result of the many unjustified pretexts that are presented," stressing that "these leaders are subject to the pressure exerted by Washington within the country's military and security establishment." 
    American combat forces present in Iraqi territory continue to violate sovereignty and carry out repeated attacks against official government forces. 
    The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, in an interview with the Al-Ma’louma Agency, revealed the preparation of a project that includes a clause regarding the removal of American forces from Iraq, and while it considered denunciations and condemnations “useless,” it stressed the necessity of a firm stance from the government towards American violations.
