    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this evening, Monday (December 11, 2023), the Minister of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, Reber Ahmed, and the Minister of Finance and Economy, Awat Sheikh Janab, in the presence of the Minister of Construction and Housing in the federal government.
    During the meeting, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office received by “Baghdad Today,” the general situation in the Iraqi Kurdistan region was discussed, and a number of security, financial, and economic files were discussed, in addition to discussing the ongoing preparations to hold the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections in February of next year.
    The statement added, "The meeting witnessed an emphasis on the importance of increasing coordination between the center and the region to resolve the outstanding problems related to border crossings, unify customs policy, and the product protection law, in order to achieve the national interests of the country and its people."
