    Baghdad today - Anbar
Today, Tuesday (March 19, 2024), independent politician Muhannad Al-Rawi criticized the attempt of people who lost their positions to stir up strife among the Iraqi provinces.
Al-Rawi said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “people who lost their positions and caused losses to the Sunni component and were managing their positions in a way that marginalized and excluded other Sunni governorates were trying to incite strife and strife among the Iraqi governorates, especially the Sunni ones.”
The narrator added, "There are paid electronic flies trying to provide the duties of loyalty and obedience to their master, and to get closer to him by attacking political leaders just because they said unintended words, which they now interpret as they please and are trying to provoke the street, which is abandoning them, and their shares have declined."
He stated, "These people have become aware of the loss of the position of Speaker of Parliament, and therefore their party will disappear day after day, so they are trying to capitalize on these statements."
Independent politician Muhannad Al-Rawi confirmed on Sunday (March 10, 2024) that the candidate of the Sunni blocs, Resolve, Decisiveness and Sovereignty, Salem Matar Al-Issawi, enjoys the support of the Shiite and Kurdish blocs, amid preparations to hold the “decisive” second round between Shaalan Al-Karim and Salem Al-Issawi.
Al-Rawi told “Baghdad Today” that “former Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, during the visits he made and his meetings with Kurdish and Shiite political leaders, informed him that they would support the candidate upon whom the majority of Sunni forces agreed.”
He added, "The Sunni blocs that nominated Salem Al-Issawi by agreement lifted the pressure on the coordination framework, which today is required to support the candidate of the Sunni majority, and this will happen in the first session devoted to electing the new president."
