    Baghdad today - Erbil
Former member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Kawa Abdul Qadir, confirmed today, Tuesday (March 26, 2024), that there are attempts to circumvent the decision of the Federal Court, while he sent an invitation to the federal government in Baghdad.
Abdul Qadir said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The decision to continue sending salaries until resettlement raises concerns, because there is no confidence in the regional government to disburse salaries on a monthly and regular basis."
Abdul Qadir added, "We feel that there is an attempt to circumvent the Federal Court's decision regarding resettlement," calling on "the federal government not to yield to the pressure exerted by the parties in power in Kurdistan."
He explained that "the best solution to the problem of employee salaries in the region is through nationalization only."
Yesterday, Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed the direct financing of the region in accordance with the decision of the Federal Court .
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “Al-Sudani received members of the House of Representatives from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan parliamentary bloc, in the presence of the Ministers of Environment and Justice. During the meeting, the general conditions throughout the country were discussed, and the government’s measures aimed at... Developing the economic sector, and its efforts to improve services and ensure a decent living for citizens throughout Iraq, in accordance with the priorities included in the government program in this aspect .  ”
He added, "The meeting witnessed an emphasis on the necessity of integrating the relationship between the executive and legislative authorities, and the importance of continuous coordination in order to legislate laws that support the work of the government and address the obstacles facing the implementation of projects, programs and plans in various sectors .  "
Al-Sudani indicated, according to the statement, “to begin financing the region in accordance with the decision of the Federal Court in this regard, and to follow up on the procedures between the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, with regard to the localization of the salaries of the region’s employees in order to continue paying them .”
He continued, "It was also emphasized to continue dialogues between the federal government and the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government regarding common files, and that the solutions be in accordance with what was stipulated in the Constitution, and that the interests of citizens and their demands be at the forefront of the targets, and that all efforts be made to enhance internal stability and advance the wheel of development." Economic and social forward.
