    The Transport Minister Baqir al-Zubaidi, announced on Thursday the (12 November 2015), approval of the Company (Boeing) to update the model the rest of the aircraft scheduled to be delivered to Iraq, according to the contract signed in 2008, as revealed that the new model will feature environmentally friendly and increase engines in the seats up to 60 seats, he confirmed that it is in line with the rise in the number of passengers on the Iraqi Airways.
    The Ministry of Transportation justified, on Tuesday, the (11 August 2015), not to allow its aircraft to fly over a number of European countries, and stressed that the suspension "temporary", as attributed the reason to the non-application of the company's system of (IOSA), confirmed the provision of alternative aircraft for the purpose of passenger transport.
    The media reported that the countries (Austria, Sweden, Denmark) aircraft prevented Iraqi Airways from entering its airspace for safety reasons.

    Iraq and received since the end of 2012 until the month of October of 2015, a number of Boeing aircraft within the site with the company's contract and that it is hoped that the end of the year ends in 2018, also received a Bombardier aircraft CRJ900 over the past years, bringing the number of his fleet of aircraft to 32 aircraft belonging to the Iraqi Airways.
    The Ministry of Transport announced the (March 20 2015) received new aircraft from Boeing under the contract signed between Iraq and the company during 2008, while confirming that the Iraqi Airways fleet currently consists of 28 aircraft.
    It is noteworthy that Transport Minister Baqir al-Zubaidi announced (26th February 2015), that Iraq will receive 13 aircraft from Boeing, over the past year in 2015, while detect the presence of negotiations with Airbus for the purchase of aircraft which, he stressed that Iraqi Airways supported the budget General of the State for 2015 of $ 450 million.
