    [ltr]Gold fell more than 1 percent, with the rise of the dollar against the euro pushing the yellow metal to a second weekly loss in a row while the third silver recorded a week of gains.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The dollar jumped 2 percent against the Japanese yen on speculation that the Bank of Japan is considering the application of negative interest rates in its program to lend to financial institutions.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The price of gold in the spot transactions 1.3 percent to $ 1232.10 for an ounce at the end of trading in the US market, down about $ 40 from its highest level in five weeks, which struck on Thursday of $ 1270.10 dollars.[/ltr]
