Iraq's development of an international report ranked ninth in the Middle East in the rankings of countries lax taxation.

    The
report noted that studying tax regulations issued by the World Bank and
PricewaterhouseCoopers, the governments of 13 countries in the Middle
East are still continuing in their tax reforms, despite the global
    economic turmoil.

The report found, seen by "Twilight News" that
the total tax rate paid by a medium-sized company in the Middle East is
equal to 23.6%, while labor taxes and social contributions constitute
the bulk of these indicators that are quite different from the global
    average.

According to the report, Iraq still poses a low tax on
corporate income, and in other cases does not impose, which explains the
low overall average tax rate in the classification.
