Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi congratulated the Iraqi people on the new year, saying that "the year of victory" will remain immortal in the history of the people.
Abadi said in a press release received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, "I offer my warmest congratulations and congratulations and best wishes to the people of our people, especially the Christians and for all humanity on the occasion of the New Year."
"The year of great victory will remain immortal in the history of our people, and we look forward to working together to maintain victory and unity and to continue with the same vigor and determination to restore stability and reconstruction and complete the return of displaced people to their homes," he added.
"We ask God Almighty to make it a good year for peace and stability for the peoples of our region and the world at large, and to stop conflicts and wars and realize the aspirations of humanity for a better future."
