North Korea's ambassador to Russia, Hen John, said on Wednesday that improved relations between North and South Korea were the main task of the year.

"The main task is to improve North-South relations," the ambassador told Russian reporters.

The talks began between the two Koreas, the first in many years, to find ways to improve relations between the South and the North, led to the resumption of military communication between the two countries, as well as to approve the participation of athletes from North Korea at the Olympic Games in the city of Pyong Zhang in South Korea.
