    The Arab Alliance for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, announced on Monday the collapse of the defenses of the Iranian Houthi militias in Hodeidah, stressing the imminent entry of the resistance forces into the strategic city, which includes a major port through which the smuggling of weapons from Iran to the Houthis.
     
    "Al-Hodeidah has only about 20 kilometers left and scientific operations continue," coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki told a news conference in Riyadh. "Houthi rebels have been in control of the coastal city since 2014.
     
    "The defenses fell with the collapse and flight of field commanders." 

    Maliki said coalition forces "wanted to cut off the artery benefiting the Huthis," referring to the port of Hodeidah used by the rebel militias to bring in and store weapons and missiles smuggled from Iran. 

    In the streets of Hodeidah, the streets of Hodeidah were empty after most of the leaders of the Houthi militias and their militants fled to Hajjah and Sanaa. The shops were closed and the streets looked deserted. 

    The battle for the liberation of the city of Hodeidah and its port entered a new phase after the great victories achieved by the resistance forces, backed by the UAE armed forces, during which the militias of Houthi were destroyed and most of the areas of the Tahita and Darihmi districts were liberated.

    A large number of elements of the Houthi militias loyal to Iran were killed during clashes with the Yemeni resistance forces in the Directorate of Durahmi, amid heavy losses and accelerating their ranks, prompting their leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi to beg his gunmen not to flee. 

    Progressing in Sa'ada 

    On other fronts, Maliki said that the National Army forces, with the support of the Arab Alliance, continue to advance in Saada province and cut off supply routes for the Houthis in the region. 

    He said the pro-Iranian militias "use women in battle in contravention of norms and values, which indicates the bankruptcy of the rebels."
