Turkey publishes decree banning 18,000 employees
Turkey on Sunday published a decree to dismiss some 18,000 employees in the country.
The Turkish decree, published in the official newspaper, according to Reuters, "shortly before the decision to lift the emergency law on the country, this month.
The Turkish decree showed that "more than half of the staff are insulated policemen."
"The state of emergency has been imposed in Turkey two years ago, after a coup attempt in July 2016."
The decree comes after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's victory in last month's presidential election and before he was sworn in on Monday to start an executive presidency with broad powers.
