The United States saw only two hours of deadly shooting in Maryland, killing four people and injuring seven, including children in Syracuse, New York.
An armed woman opened fire at one of the Wright Aid drug distribution centers in Harford County, Maryland, killing three people and injuring three others before committing suicide.
In another incident, emergency services in Syracuse, New York, on Thursday reported seven people, including children, being shot.
According to a publication on Facebook, the firefighters' union in Syracuse said there were "seven victims" of the shooting on Midland Street in the city.
A spokesman for the Syracuse police department said there was no further information about the incident, which occurred shortly after 9 pm EDT.
The shooting occurred at a family gathering after a person died of cancer earlier, Syracuse.com news website reported.
The site said ambulances were seen leaving the site with the police at around 9:15 pm.
At least 10 shots were fired at the incident in downtown Syracuse, about 402 km (125 miles) northwest of New York City, the site said.
